Last weekend Jurassic Quest came to our city, filling the Paso Robles Events Center with all the family-friendly dinosaur goodness of life-like animatronic dinosaurs, crafts and play. Think day at the natural history museum, but you get to ride the dinos.
Barney Schwartz Park in Paso Robles is getting an all new playground soon. While we’re happy about the fresh play equipment, I feel like we should give some throwback love to the old playground before its purple plastic and log cabin vibe is gone for good.
TravelPaso.com, Paso Robles’ official tourism website, featured an abridged version of our original blog post, 7 Things To Do With Kids In Downtown Paso Robles, in its September 2017 issue. Here’s that guest post version as published.

We survived the plane ride and car trips getting to where we needed to go. And by survive, I mean we didn’t go completely bonkers keeping the little children constantly occupied. But as soon as we settled in at the vacation house, it was clear that the baby had a stomach bug It’s always something right?
This adventure is one of my favorites — but also not. It was beautiful, different than our everyday routine and I got a milkshake from In & Out Burger at the end of it. Usually we just go with the flow but this time the latter was particularly exhausting, especially while baby-wearing. Lesson learned.
