Unicorn Photo Shoot

Last fall, I made a little money writing for the newspaper and did what any sane mother would do. I blew it all on a photo shoot where my daughter got to pose with a unicorn. That’s right, a unicorn. Who needs groceries, anyway?

Puddle Jumping at Paloma Creek Park, Atascadero (seasonal)

About us

Hey, hey! I'm Tonya. And I'm so happy to have you here! I'm a longtime newspaper reporter turned stay-at-home mom, stepping out from behind the logo to do my own thing as a writer. I decided to go with tourism things to do with kids in California and Washington state because, as I like to say around here, sometimes you just need to get out of the house!

Meet Clara

Clara is 7 years old. She likes to see how things work, eat candy and is obsessed with all things sparkly (that's my girl). She calls "instructions", "constructions" (swoon) and says she loves me "all the days". She learned how to read this year and is a pandemic Facetime pro.

When she's not adventuring, Clara is an awesome artista!

Meet Wyatt

Wyatt is 5 years old. He sports some major dimple action and is excellent at pretending to be a dinosaur. He loves his big sister and his preschool friend Jade from back home. He plays all the video games and does math with Bowen and is outgrowing all his clothes. He's my little man!

When he's not adventuring, Wyatt likes yelling at Alexa from across the room to play all his favorite dancin' songs!
