I get out of the house because I’m chasing a feeling.
A feeling of beauty. A feeling of childhood wonder. Kids are little for only so long.
And, one day, I want to be able to ask them: “Remember the time we abandoned our chores, drove to that clearing beyond the trees and you laughed and ran and played?”
I get out of the house for that.
