Here’s my goodbye column in California with Paso Robles Magazine and Colony Magazine. Community news helped bridge the gap from my blogging world to local print and it’s sure been great ride.
Here’s a list of our fave things to do with kids in San Luis Obispo County before we move.
I get it. You’re bored in the house and you’re in the house bored (that’s a TikTok you gotta watch btw), so here are five North County summer outings to do with your littles while still social distancing.
Big news …
We’re moving from California to Washington!! I’m equal parts sad, nervous and excited for this new adventure.
I don’t know how to put into words what SLO County means to me. If you know me at all, you know it’s more than just a place.
Not only does California’s Central Coast have some absolutely fantastic landscapes, it also has …. some pretty cool animals, too!…
I’m happy to share that the fine folks behind PASO Magazine (where we have a column) have created a second publication called Colony Magazine for our neighboring city of Atascadero!
And I’m absolutely honored for our Two in Tow column to be included in its inaugural issue published July 1, 2018!
Here’s our final pumpkin patch in our series of pumpkin patches we visited this fall! River K is a very rural pumpkin patch where you can pick pumpkins right off the vine. Or, pick some up around the cute little pumpkin stand up front. The business has been family owned and operated for decades by the Knuze family on River Road. (Get it? River K).
Next up in our series of pumpkin patches is the truly wonderful Jack Creek Farms in Templeton, California. It’s open year-round and they’ve put a lot of time and effort into making their farm kid-friendly, including fenced-in play areas and a thoughtful layout that includes a large picnic table spot.
I feel like Avila Valley Barn is the go-to staple for pumpkin patchin’ it in SLO County. It also has one heck of a pie stand. Overall, it has hay rides, farm animals to feed, two mazes, roasted corn, photo ops and ice cream all on a family-friendly farm.
