As Seen in Gig Harbor Now: Lovelocks in Gig Harbor

Last week, the kids and I stumbled on a lovelock bridge right here in Gig Harbor. We’d just gotten our wiggles out by running down the big grassy slope at Donkey Creek Park, then headed up to North Harborview Drive when the distinct glint of boxy brass and steel caught our eye. Sure enough, roughly 150 padlocks hung from the crisscross of cables between the guard rails of the 2013 city bridge over Donkey Creek.

As Seen in Gig Harbor Now: Gig Harbor Youth Sports

Now that Clara and Wyatt’s prime childhood sport-team-ready age is actually here, and I Google “youth sports near me,” there’s not one easy place to find the options.

For I have created the below go-to list to help navigate the various public, nonprofit, and independent youth sports leagues in and around Gig Harbor so looking how to get your kid involved locally will never feel like a chore again! (hopefully).

Product Roundup: Adventure Goodies

This post is sponsored by Babblebox.

Now that the PNW is miraculously sunny and warm, I’ve made it my personal mission to avenge the cold weather misfortunes of parka-clad “Winter Tonya” and hit up aaaalll the beaches, splash pads, and parks in tanks and shorts for as long as the sun will have me.

Dramatic? Yes. But, true? Double yes.

All of this summertime go- go- going makes it super important for the kids and me to recharge when we get home. So when Babbleboxx offered to send me its latest Outdoor Adventures box of goodies to test out for products designed to hydrate, fuel, and energize, I gladly accepted.

Here’s a look at what we got!
