Product Roundup: Adventure Goodies

This post is sponsored by Babblebox.

Now that the PNW is miraculously sunny and warm, I’ve made it my personal mission to avenge the cold weather misfortunes of parka-clad “Winter Tonya” and hit up aaaalll the beaches, splash pads, and parks in tanks and shorts for as long as the sun will have me.

Dramatic? Yes. But, true? Double yes.

All of this summertime go- go- going makes it super important for the kids and me to recharge when we get home. So when Babbleboxx offered to send me its latest Outdoor Adventures box of goodies to test out for products designed to hydrate, fuel, and energize, I gladly accepted.

Here’s a look at what we got!

Peel and Stick Wallpaper, Love Vs. Design

When we first moved to our new house, I knew the downstairs fireplace was going to be special. It just needed a refresh. I’m happy to report that four panels of @lovevsdesign’s Custom color peel and stick removable wallpaper in the Magnolia Tree print did just the trick!

Holiday Cards, Basic Invite

I’d like to go on record that for the first time in the history of ever, our holiday cards were some of the very first on our friends’ fridges this year. We went with @basicinvite on the design and they rocked it!

KIDS WITH BOOK SMILING

Ronnie and the Fishes by Barbara J. Regan

If you have a kiddo who’s curious about life under the sea, I encourage you to check out “Ronnie and the Fishes” by Barbara J. Regan. It features main characters of color, childhood drawings, pretty illustrations and a good balance of science nestled within the storytelling. My only complaints are the book is a little long for the age group, and I’d prefer to see more digital illustrations than scanned-in drawings. Overall, though, I applaud Regan’s effort to tell a fun story in this self-published piece. Plus, I believe she’s in her early 80s, so huge props to her for being such an awesome example of someone who follows their dreams regardless of age. This book is available to purchase in my #diversebooksforkids Influencer Shop on Amazon!

Book cover with Santa Claus and a letter

Letter from Santa Claus by Robin Jones

This Christmas season, we read Clara and Wyatt the children’s book “Letter from Santa Claus” we were gifted by author Robin Jones.

Overall, this is a sweet tale from the past with heartwarming illustrations and a fun historical element. My only complaint is I would’ve Iiked a warning about the story’s religious references on how Santa’s elves came to be.
