The Alderbrook Resort & Spa in Union Washington is a dreamy Pacific Northwest getaway boasting rooms with a view, rare Hood Canal waterfront access and a collection of homestyle Covid-19 precautions that recently earned them national attention.
We felt pampered, taken care of, and in tune with nature. And we can’t wait to go back.

Overall, this hotel is a must for hotel-scouting families looking for something kid-friendly. It’s perfect for children in the hotel amenities, setup, and location. But, it’s also special because not only are your kids’ needs accounted for (and who are we kidding – they’re the bosses anyway), but the adults also feel like they’re on a pampered beach vacation. The hotel is steps from the ocean, there are complimentary white fluffy towels in the pool area and there’s a free waffle bar with whipped cream in the morning.

Earlier this month, two gal pals and I left our collective assortment of tiny humans with the husbands and the grandparents and lived it up at the Broadlind Hotel’s penthouse suite in Long Beach, California. Overall, the property is a truly charming getaway with all the architectural character I love, situated in a conveniently walkable downtown location.
