One of the big reasons we moved from California to Washington is so we could get the kids closer to their little cousins who live in the Tacoma suburb of University Place. The kids are all so close in age, so it makes for some good playtime. And now that we’ve moved, summertime is all about backyard tag, lunch on the grass, and all the cousin fun.
JumpOff Jo’s 5-foot inflatable Unicorn is easy to assemble and totally looks like water is coming out of its butt. Which the kids think is hilarious.
My 3 and 5 year old kids love these toys. They can squirt the water all the way to the bathroom ceiling, lol. They’re fun colors and chunky shapes and I appreciate the detail in the wheels, grill, headlights, etc.
This Letter Crayons Word Building Center is made for ages 3 to 6, which is exciting to find one toy that’s perfect for Clara and Wyatt’s range. I love the multilevel aspects of learning! There are lots of bright colors, and color sorting options too if the kids aren’t into spelling at the moment.

And that’s because, for some reason, hubby and I thought having two kids, (two years + three days apart) RIGHT before Christmas was optimal baby-birthin’ time 😂.
But, you know, that’s all ok because this year Walmart’s Adventure Force Utility Vehicles came to the rescue.
Welcome to our first annual Shop Local Holiday Roundup, featuring our fave SLO County gifts offered by local businesses.

All the cool cars (and probably some teensy toes) will line up to race on the Simplay3 Carry and Go Track Table, a holiday gift idea for kids that boasts versatility, durability and fun factor.
I’m no designer, but here’s my home fashion prediction: play mats are soooo the new living room rug.
